Women Deliver 100: The List Revealed!

The list is out! Following our teaser last week for the release of the names of the top 100 individuals who most deliver for girls and women, Women Deliver has now unveiled them:

This list recognizes women and men, both prominent and lesser known, who have committed themselves to improving the lives of girls and women around the world. The 100 honorees were selected from among hundreds of potentials and feature some of the most intrepid, committed and results-driven people in the world.

As a prelude to the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day on March 8, the list spotlights a wide range of people who are inspiring change for women. True to its word, it includes not only those who are well known on a global scale, but musicians, filmmakers, bloggers and others who have made notable contributions. As it boasts some names you may be unfamiliar with, the list is well worth reading to learn more about the amazing work being done (and make sure to visit the organizations mentioned as well!).

Who made the grade? Politicians such as Hillary Clinton and Laura Bush, journalists such as Christiane Amanpour and Lynsey Addario, and leaders of global organizations that strive to support women such as Michelle Bachelet and Ela Bhatt). Check out the full list here.

And who do you think Women Deliver left out? Let us know in the comments.
