GALLERY: California Walked for Equality!

This weekend, feminists in Palo Alto, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles rallied for the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) at the Feminist Majority’s first annual WALK for EQUALITY events. Feminists across California came out in full force to call for an end to the war on women and the long overdue constitutional equality of women in the United States alongside lawmakers, celebrities and movement leaders.

These photographs from the events in Los Angeles and Palo Alto capture some of the excitement and passion that filled the air at the walks—and inspire us to keep fighting. Now, more than ever, we must continue marching, rallying, striking and walking toward justice. This was just the first step.
