If Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton succeeds at her attempt to break the political glass ceiling, she won’t be alone on the world stage. Many other nations have already had women in their highest positions of power, although female Heads of State are still a minority. (Only 11 women are serving as Heads of State as of August 2015, according to UN Women.) These six women, some of which are the first female Head of State for their country, are paving the way—and could soon find a new peer in President Hillary Clinton.
