What Does “Likeability” Mean for Women in Politics?

“Why doesn’t she smile more?” “Could you see yourself getting a beer with her?” “Do people like her enough to win?”

But with a ranked-choice voting system, women candidates would be able to campaign on their policy agendas, not their “likeability” or personality.
