Eric Petry serves as counsel in the Brennan Center’s Elections and Government Program, where he conducts research and develops policy solutions to address the issue of money in politics and promote election security.
Before joining the Brennan Center, Petry worked as an associate in the Washington office of Jenner & Block LLP.
Petry graduated summa cum laude from the College of Wooster with a BA in economics and earned his JD with honors from University of Chicago Law School, where he was executive editor of the University of Chicago Law Review. He clerked for Hon. Solomon Oliver Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
