Hilarie Ashton has been published in Electric Literature, NPR's Turn the Tables series, the LA Review of Books' blog, The Hairpin, Modern Loss, Literary Orphans, HuffPo and Style. She is an English Ph.D candidate at the CUNY Graduate Center, where she focuses on American studies and literature, and received her M.A. in humanities and social thought from NYU and her B.A. in English and philosophy from Williams College.
