Author: Bruce Dearstyne

Bruce Dearstyne holds a Ph.D. in history from Syracuse University. He has taught history courses at SUNY Albany and other colleges and was also a professor at the University of Maryland College of Information Studies. For many years he was a program director at the New York State Archives. His latest book, The Spirit of New York: Defining Events in the Empire State’s History, was published in June 2015 by SUNY Press.
