Author: Jane O'Reilly

Jane O'Reilly grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated in 1958 from Radcliffe College. She was a co-founder of Ms., known for writing the first cover story, “Click! The Housewife's Moment of Truth." She was also a freelance writer and a regular contributor to the New York Times, Time, Vogue and New York magazine. After the defeat of the Equal Rights Amendment in 1982, Jane lived in Key West for several years with a group of treasure divers before moving to Vermont and teaching writing workshops. A distinguished political reporter, book reviewer and travel writer, she now lives in East Boston, Massachusetts, where she is an amateur printmaker and fair housing activist. She has a son, daughter, three granddaughters and one grandson, and will soon be releasing her newsletter “The Diary of My Eighty-Sixth Year."
