More Than A Magazine, A Movement
Coined by Janelle Jones, the Black Women Best framework contends that when Black women—arguably the most structurally marginalized group in America—are centered in U.S. policymaking and politics, then we can produce better economic outcomes and a stronger society for everyone.
The truth is we’ve been doing (Rich) White Men Best since at least 1776.
It is not merely an accident or coincidence that Black people appear to be more likely to contract or succumb to COVID-19; it is the result of policy choices—often intentional—that have led to widespread racial inequality and poorer health and economic outcomes for Black people, even outside of the coronavirus pandemic.
