LISTEN: Eve Rodsky Lays Down the Rules for Fair Play in Feminist Partnerships

“It’s about time,” Eve Rodksy asserts in her new book, Fair Play: A Game-Changing Solution for When You Have Too Much to Do (and More Life to Live), “we have a cultural recognition that all time is created equal.”

It’s a conversation, she notes, that feminists have long had about the workplace—but Rodsky wants to bring it home.

In Fair Play, Rodsky lays out strategies for couples interested in forging equitable partnerships, including methods for dividing household and emotional labor and freeing up time for personal growth.

The tools inside Rodsky’s book include a series of cards for fair play and a set of rules to guide partners in making a new kind of relationship work—and in an exclusive audio clip for Ms. from her self-narrated audiobook, Rodsky walks us through Rule #1: “All Time is Created Equal.”
