Nancy S. Jecker, Ph.D., is a professor of bioethics and humanities at the University of Washington School of Medicine and a Fulbright U.S. scholar for South Africa (2021-2022). Jecker holds adjunct professorships at the University of Washington School of Law, Department of Global Health, and Department of Philosophy. Dr. Jecker is a Visiting Professor at the University of Johannesburg Department of Philosophy and honorary visiting professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong Centre for Bioethics. She was awarded the Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Washington, after first earning master's degrees in philosophy from both Stanford University and the University of Washington, and a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Stanford University.
