Perhaps not since Brown v. Board of Education or Roe v. Wade has there been a more reported or anticipated Supreme Court term. Now, we approach the end of a term unlike any other in nearly 50 years—leaving many to wonder about the Court’s commitment to equality, inclusion and nondiscrimination.
On July 6, Michele Goodwin will be joined by leading experts in constitutional law, criminal justice, women’s rights, administrative law, the Second Amendment, and free speech; together, they will give an overview of this term, what’s at stake, and what comes next.
Co-hosted by the UCI School of Law and Ms. Studios, the panel will feature:
- Aziza Ahmed, professor of law, Boston University School of Law
- Erwin Chemerinsky, dean, Berkeley Law
- Mary Anne Franks, professor of law and Michael R. Klein distinguished scholar chair, University of Miami School of Law; author, The Cult of the Constitution
- Regina Mahone, The Nation
- Mark Joseph Stern, Slate Magazine
- Mary Ziegler, professor of law, UC Davis School of Law
