Amid a year of misinformation and misogyny, we’re thankful for the feminist community ensuring women’s stories are heard.
Thanksgiving gives us a small, welcome clearing in the forest of the year—a place where we can look back at the terrain we crossed and the companions who helped us through it.
You are one of those companions. And we are grateful more than words easily say.
This has been a year of noise—misinformation, silencing, the old machinery of misogyny trying to drown out the truth. But still, the stories and the truth rose. They rose because you supported our Ms. community, because you shared them, and because you believed that women’s realities deserve a place at the center of public life and discussion.

Every movement depends on storytellers and witnesses. Those who speak, and those who refuse to let the words vanish. At Ms., we tell the stories that some reactionaries want history to lose on purpose. You make it possible for them to be heard.
As you sit at tables surrounded by people who know your history, we hope you feel the same sense of belonging you help sustain in this community—a community that stretches across generations and refuses to surrender truth.
And when the holiday quiet fades and the work resumes—in a new year that will ask much of all of us—we will step forward together.
Because the future is made by those who stay, and keep going, and insist on shining a light.
