For too long, anti-abortion politicians have interfered in women’s health decisions by banning insurance coverage for abortion care. The EACH Woman Act turns the tide on decades of politically-motivated, harmful attacks on abortion access and ensures that lack of coverage will not stand in the way of anyone making the best decision for themselves and their family.
“None of us are talking about the 74 percent of women who say that having a baby right now will be very disruptive to their family, their work, their education. The 73 percent who say they can’t afford a baby right now. The 48 percent who say they don’t want to be a single parent or to have a baby with this partner. The cases we discuss the most are the ones that happen the least.”
Most of today’s Registered Nurses have Baccalaureate degrees, many with Masters and Doctorates. Nurses are providing primary care and hospital-based specialty care, conducting NIH grant funded research and serving as congressional representatives. It’s time to consider nursing in a new light—on the campaign trail and in our culture at-large.
